キャリ・ガッシュ

1972年、カザフスタン、アルマトィに生まれました。ドイツの大学を卒業後、日本在住。2010年、埼玉県所沢市の絵画サークル、彩指会に入会。ここで本格的な絵画の指導を受けました。

多彩なアプローチで絵を描く境界領域アーティスト。違うスタイル、新しい画材を試すのがとても好き。マンネリは苦手。バラエティー豊かな作品を追求しています。
作品は所沢市民ギャラリー、小手指公民館、公募展などで発表しています。

Kary Guash

She was born in Almaty city, Kazakhstan, in 1972. After graduating from a university in Germany, she settled in Japan. In 2010, she joined the painting circle Saishikai in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, where she received formal training in painting.

She is a member of the Tokorozawa Western Painting Association and an Associate member of the Daichōwakai.

Over the years, she has come to see herself as a boundary-crossing artist — someone who moves freely between styles, materials, and techniques. She constantly experiments with new mediums and explores unfamiliar visual languages. Repetition feels limiting to her; she is always drawn to variety, surprise, and discovery.

Recent recognitions include:
• Small Works Encouragement Prize, Daichōwa Exhibition 2023 (Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum)
• Small Works Honorable Mention, Daichōwa Exhibition 2024 (Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum)
