・What is realism? ?
As mentioned above, realism refers to paintings that are so precise that they can be mistaken for photographs. In Japanese, it is called "realism" or "realism."
The trend of realism arose in France around the mid-19th century. Painters who were central figures at the time included Jean-François Millet, Gustave Cloubet, and Camille Collot.
Until then, it was considered important to depict ideal beauty in paintings, but these artists never idealized and instead portrayed reality as it is on the canvas.
Realism is a painting that is similar to a photograph, but what is fascinating about it is that the way it is felt and perceived differs depending on the artist who painted it.
