Minami Otaru / Kitaichi Venice Museum

It was opened in 1988 to preserve and pass on outstanding works of Venetian glass to future generations.

You can admire Venetian glass works, which have a tradition of passing down the world's best techniques to the present day, in Otaru, which is known as the city of glass. The museum houses a diverse collection of Venetian glass works, with around 3,000 items on display at all times, from Venetian glass crafts with a history of 1,000 years to traditional Thalia furniture and furnishings. Opened in 1990 in the lush Sapporo Art Forest.

Opened in 1998 as a new artistic and cultural base for the Kushiro/Nemuro area.

It opened in 1993 to exhibit the works of painter Nissho Kanda.

Shirakaba Danchi / Osamu Ogawahara Memorial Museum of Art

It was opened in 1999 to honor Osamu Ogawahara, a Hokkaido native who led the postwar Hokkaido art world.

Shin-Asahikawa / Teijiro Nakahara Memorial Asahikawa City Sculpture Museum

In 1994, it opened as a museum specializing in sculpture in commemoration of Teijiro Nakahara, a sculptor who left a mark on the history of modern sculpture.

The collection consists of 12 works mainly by Nakahara, but also includes works by Rodin and Morie Ogiwara, who influenced Nakahara, as well as works by his close friends Tsuruzou Ishii and Shinji Hori.

There are impressive works that will change your concept of sculpture.
