Akita / Akita Prefectural Museum of Art

It opened in 1967 to exhibit the works of Tsuguharu Fujita, and moved in 2013.

Tsuguharu Fujita's representative work, the large mural ``Akita Events,'' is a must-see as it can only be seen live at the Akita Prefectural Museum of Art.

In addition, special exhibitions are held regularly, and in the past there have been exhibits that both adults and children can enjoy.

The new building at the time of relocation was designed by Tadao Ando, and the modern atmosphere of the exterior and the seasonal scenery of Akita match well with the art, making it attractive.

From the cafe space, you can see the scenery of Akita City over Mizukagami.

Please enjoy the art, buildings, and scenery.
