The most attractive feature of watercolor paintings is their transparency.
This transparency comes from the fact that they are "transparent watercolors." By taking advantage of the characteristic that the colors underneath can be seen through even when layered, you can create beautiful, vibrant pictures.
The tricky part is that because the color underneath shows through, the areas where it overlaps with the color painted on top appear to be a different color. This method of creating colors is called "overlapping colors."
Mixing paints on a palette to create a color is called "color mixing," but while mixing colors makes the color cloudy, layering colors does not. However, if you do not take into consideration the order in which you layer the colors, the color will not come out as you intended, so to create the work you imagine, you need to paint in a planned order.
Also, white is not generally used in watercolor painting. If you want to create a white color, you use the color of the paper you are applying the paint to. Therefore, the planned depiction mentioned above also includes the expression of white.

Description of the work:
My current obsession is saunas. In Japan, saunas still have an image of being for older men, but in Scandinavia, where saunas originate, I saw people of all ages and genders enjoying themselves in swimsuits and clothes, and that inspired me to come up with the composition of this piece. That being said, I put a ripped, shaggy old man in the foreground. As a business owner, I feel a sense of immorality, thinking that no one would buy a piece like this, but as an artist, I enjoyed drawing this piece.
The animals outside are looking on, wondering what they're doing. The penguins are enjoying swimming in the lake without a sauna. The white-haired man in the foreground is doing that part-time job he does in the winter. He can just hide it with a hat.
