Resonance Artist: Shigeto Narimiya (Resonance Artist)
Born in Wakayama Prefecture and currently living in Yokohama. Active mainly overseas and in the Kanto region. Ambidextrous.
A resonant painter who paints majestic pictures of gods, Buddhas, temples, and living things, and works to spread Japanese culture.

I paint with the desire to create entertainment that will entertain people through art statement art.
Entertainment provides experiences and emotions by entertaining and treating people. I feel that this is true of art as well. When I create, for example, even in the limited space of a single sheet of paper, I try to incorporate lots of color, combine boldness and delicacy, and sometimes include people's names or memories, in a way that can be enjoyed not just once but many times. I hope that people will experience my work and find inspiration or realizations.

Description of the work:
In ancient China, the lion was considered the king of beasts and was beloved as a sacred beast that warded off evil spirits from sacred areas. In Japan, it has been passed down as a guardian beast that protects the gods, and legend has it that placing one in your home or workplace will bring you wealth. I have drawn this golden lion in the style of Narumiya. I hope it will become your guardian deity.

594mm x 841mm A1 size Acrylic and pen drawing Kent paper pasted on a wooden panel. A hook and string are attached so that it can be easily hung on the wall. This work, together with a piece called "Queeeen!", forms one story. It depicts a phantom thief who steals the "whale painting." As is typical of Narimiya's works, it incorporates many pop elements.
