広大な湿地帯に暮らすコウノトリ。日が昇りあたりが見えるようになると、今日の採餌に向かう。最近新しく見つけた採餌場は、少し遠く離れている湿原だ。 近くにある舟が目印。そこに止まってぐるりと一周見回してみた。いつもより揺れて脚が舟から離れそうだ。 昨日は川の上流で大雨があり、遠くで雷もなっていた。その影響で今日は川が波立っている。 高くなった水位でいつもの風景を変えていた。川の水は意外にも濁ってはいなかった。緑色の薄い層を何層も重ねたものを、深い位置から見せている。光がその奥まで届き美しい。 ふと空腹に気づいたコウノトリは、脚で波の動きを蹴り飛び立った。空高く飛び、ゆったりと旋回していった。 厚さ2.0cm　重さ1.0kg　キャンバス　一般的な油絵用の額であれば、紐をつけたままでも収まります。
