過ぎた時間は、順番どおりには残らない。本作の中心に置いたのは、長い年月を一つの部屋で過ごしてきたピアノです。 子どもの頃には届かなかった一オクターブへ、大人になった手は届くようになる。鍵盤の幅は変わらなくても、そこへ置く手の大きさは変わり、響く音もまた月日とともに形を変えていきます。湿った音、乾いて硬くなった音、指を置いても返らなくなった無音。その不揃いな響きの中に、かつて鳴っていた音も重なっています。 布片を四角い色面として重ね、糸による手縫いの跡やほつれた端を残しながら、ピアノのある室内を再構成しました。具体的に読み取れる形と、時間の中で輪郭を失っていく抽象的な面を分けず、同じ画面へ置いています。淡く褪せた色や形のずれは、長く使われてきた時間と、そこにあった日常の変化を表しています。 消えなかった断片を、きれいな一つの物語へまとめることはしていません。ピアノを中心に残る異なる時間を、不揃いなまま隣り合わせに置く。完成した形より、そこから外れたものに残る時間を見つめた作品です。 本作は、布と糸、アクリル絵の具で制作した原画をもとにした高精細デジタル版画です。
