What is contemporary art?
First of all, "What exactly is contemporary art?"
To summarize briefly, contemporary art refers to works by artists living in modern society that appeal to others by reflecting their doubts about art history and society in their works. (In recent years, the range of art has become wider and wider, so I can't say it's all right!)
There is a wide range of genres, including 2D, 3D, and photography.
I believe that contemporary art can be achieved by actively asking questions about one's own contemporary society, expressing them, and making the viewer feel the same, without being bound by the medium of painting.
Introducing various art genres
When many people hear the word contemporary art, they probably think of abstract paintings.
There are various types of art, such as figurative paintings and abstract paintings, but here we will introduce the various names of art and the works of each artist!
・Conceptual art
Conceptual art is art that emphasizes ideas, thoughts, and concepts when creating a work. In Japan, it was also called conceptual art or conceptual art.

・Urban art
Urban art is a name that mainly refers to paintings drawn on roads (street art) and graffiti, and refers to art that has developed and is inspired by modern architecture and lifestyles.
Unlike other forms of art, it is characterized by being painted (installed) on public property without permission, and it is not considered legally acceptable, so I feel that it is difficult to advocate for it too loudly.
However, in modern times, the works of artists such as Banksy and Adam Neet are attracting attention, and drawing and installation on public property, which was once illegal, has become accepted in classes and exhibitions are being held. It is also carefully preserved by the government.
The nature of urban art may be changing little by little.
