日本画(螺鈿使用)。墨は「蘭奢待」。気候変動や環境破壊や環境汚染により、蛍は激減しています。綺麗な環境でしか生きられない蛍は、地球の美しさの象徴ではないでしょうか。美しい自然や蛍や野生生物を大切に思う気持を込めて描きました。 二十四節気の七十二候のうち「芒種〜腐草為蛍〜 」「夏至〜菖蒲華～」と、星座の「双子座♊」「蟹座♋」を合わせた絵画。
