Description of the work:
Sakurafubuki is a beautiful, ephemeral scene of cherry blossoms scattering all at once like a snowstorm. Mount Fuji has been an object of worship since ancient times, a colossus of art, and an eternal symbol of Japan. In this work, each petal is scattered along the same path by a whirlwind. As they are sent off by the snow-capped Mount Fuji in the distance, the newly bloomed petals scatter beautifully and vividly like a snowstorm. This three-dimensional painting is made from durable polymer clay. The cherry blossom fubuki floats in the air, but is firmly fixed in place with wire.
