Chrysanthemums have long been said to ward off evil spirits and bring desired fortune. They are believed to promote nobility, longevity, ward off evil spirits, and promote mental and physical stability, and are enjoyed seasonally, including New Year's, Shichi-Go-San, and the Dango Festival. Chrysanthemum petals look plump and warm, and the new shoots and young leaves are delicious. A dragonfly and a snail approach a single chrysanthemum in search of food and a place to spend the winter. Made from durable polymer clay, these insects can be chosen as either a dragonfly or a snail.
