日本画(螺鈿使用)。岩絵の具。墨は「蘭奢待」。画仙紙 しき紙。5月の節句。端午の節句。伊達政宗。白龍。蛍。花菖蒲。月。伊達政宗公の辞世の句「曇りなき 心の月を 先立てて 浮世の闇を 照らしてぞゆく」からイメージした絵画。勇ましく勝負に勝ち進み、文化や芸術にも造詣の深かった伊達政宗公をイメージしました。絵を描いていたら、画面左下に「をかし」という文字が浮かび上がってきたので、書き起こし蛍の光のようにして蛍も描きました。
