Description of the work:
Japanese painting (using mother-of-pearl). Mineral pigments. Ink used is "Ranjatai". Gasenshi paper. May festival. Boys' Festival. Date Masamune. White dragon. Fireflies. Iris. Moon. This painting is inspired by Date Masamune's last poem, "With the moon of a cloudless heart leading the way, I will shine on the darkness of this world." I imagined Date Masamune as a man who bravely won battles and had a deep knowledge of culture and art. As I was painting, the word "okashi" appeared in the bottom left of the screen, so I wrote it out and drew fireflies in the light of the fireflies.
