幻想的な動物じゃなくて、実在する動物を幻想的に表現できないかと考えた作品。緻密にキリンのフォルムを追いかけつつ、少し荒さも残して幻想的なイメージに近づけた。彫刻は空間に実在させるものなので、浮遊感や幻想的な表現をどうすればいいか、苦心した作品。
