In creating this work, I immersed myself in a fusion of Symbolist and Expressionist influences. The muted pink and the rough vertical brushstrokes, contrasted with the harshness of the skull, evoke the fluctuating rhythm of life. It gives a passionate impression. This contrast symbolizes the beauty and inevitability of life and death, and encourages introspection. It also gives a sense of the human spirit and physicality.
Combining these two gives me the strength to move forward towards my goals. Looking at this painting is motivating. The brushstrokes and color choices are intentional and aim to capture and provoke deep philosophical reflection in any space.
