Description of the work:
I drew this with my prayers for recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
It expresses the will and courage to face the next generation in compassion, and the love that envelops and watches over.
The gold leaf in the background symbolizes majestic power and eternal happiness and prosperity.
It combines a Japanese paper collage with a verse from a song admiring Takasago's longevity and a firebird, a symbol of reconstruction.
This is a giclée print created using the golden background tempera technique using a board as a support, the background is gold leaf, and the paint is egg yolk tempera.
