Description of the work:

This work expresses the scenery, air and temperature I experienced when I went to Sakurajima in Kagoshima Prefecture and took a sand bath. I depicted the feeling of my body being buried in the warm sand in the sand bath, and the heat of the magma being transmitted to my body as Sakurajima is seen across the sea. The frame is painted in tempera and also expresses sand and rocks as part of the painting.
