Description of the work:
The theme is Tanabata in July. People like me from Kanto think of Tanabata as bamboo grass, strips of paper, and decorations, but there are many different forms of Tanabata all over Japan.
The eldest cat is wearing a tenugui towel with the word ``Doyounami'' written on it. Doyo waves are waves from typhoons that occur in the distant southern seas during the summer Doyo (late July), and sometimes reach the coast of Japan in large waves, and are waves that you should be careful about. Typhoons that form near the equator around July cannot travel north through the seas around Japan, so Japan does not recognize it as typhoon season. Nevertheless, the big waves arrive. The discrepancy between human perception and the scale of natural phenomena is the most likely to cause disasters and accidents. The pattern on the cat's yukata is a traditional wave pattern called Seigaiha, but I occasionally added large waves to create a Doyouwa pattern.
