正眼寺の誕生仏をもとに制作した作品です。
誕生仏は、釈迦の誕生を象徴し、「天上天下唯我独尊」と語ったとされる姿としても知られています。
過去を一度手放し、埋葬することで、新しく生きていけるのではないかと感じた時期がありました。
そのような心境の中で出会ったのが、この誕生仏でした。
その姿に、自分自身を重ねるような感覚があり、本作では、形をそのまま写すのではなく、内面的な変化や再生の感覚を色とタッチで表現しています。
過去と向き合いながらも、新しく歩き出そうとする感覚を、
見る方それぞれに感じ取っていただけたら嬉しいです。
