立体コラージュ作品。
ヘーゲルの著作を読んだわけでもないが、私の作品の根底に共通して流れているもの、それは止揚（アウフヘーベン）だと思う。初めからそれを意識して制作してきたわけではないが、制作を始めた初期にある人から言われたことを思い出して、改めてそのことに気がついた。デジタル作品でもリアルの作品でも、色々なイメージや物体を幾重にも重ねる。それぞれの物体やイメージは独立しており、異なるものを表していたり、互いに反対の意味を持つ概念に基づいていたりする。色も形も異なるので、同調色だったり、反対色だったり、多くの場合は対立したものであって、様々だ。対立する要素の数も二項対立とは限らない。三つ以上の要素を持つ対立もある。岡本太郎は、こういった対立する要素を作品の中に取り込むことを対極主義と言った。
そして、その対立を助長したり緩和したりする色や意味合いを持ったイメージや物体も作品の中に取り込む。こういった要素を取り込み、全体として一つの作品に昇華させる。一つの作品の中で、いくつもの表象面を用意し、融合させることで、止揚を実現する。
ヘーゲルは若い頃に読みたいと思ったままそのままうっちゃってあった。近いうちにヘーゲルを買って読んでみるかもしれない。
